About Me
Hi, I’m Elizabeth Martinez — an educator with over 10 years of experience working with students of all ages. I specialize in supporting learners who face challenges with reading, writing, and spelling due to dyslexia or other learning differences. I believe every student deserves access to high-quality, evidence-based instruction and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education and have seven years of classroom teaching experience, along with a background in educational therapy. My training in educational therapy techniques allows me to target the underlying cognitive processes essential for learning. I focus on strengthening thinking and problem-solving skills alongside academic growth, helping students build confidence and make lasting progress.
I have also received extensive training in research-backed reading programs, including certification in the Barton Reading & Spelling System, an Orton-Gillingham–influenced approach. Guiding students as they learn to read is one of the best parts of what I do—it lays the foundation for learning and opens the door to joy and confidence in education.
